CRIT

The creative process varies for everyone, but one essential element is receiving feedback or critique. Yet, this critical step often feels daunting, nerve-wracking, or even unproductive for many. The question then becomes: how can we optimize feedback to make it practical, valuable, and truly integral to the creative process for all?

Personas

Emilie 21

Student (Film)

Emilie is a student in NY. She’s been passionate about directing since high school, always seeking feedback from friends and colleagues on her films, which she considers a key part of her creative process. However, during critique sessions in class, she often feels overwhelmed and struggles to remember the feedback, making it hard for her to apply it later.

Quotes:

"I am a visual person, I find it very helpful when I see notes on my scripts."

"When I get verbal feedback, I have to record in order to remember what they said."

Cela 23

Entrepreneur (Fashion)

Cela is a young entrepreneur with a dedication to fashion. She started her own swimwear brand and wants her products made by the best designers in Brazil. Communicating with them remotely has been tough, as she wishes she could see the designs in person and collaborate more efficiently. She values getting feedback throughout the entire process.

Quotes:

"It was a long process all being done through WhatsApp."

"I would like to work with more people. I felt alone in making the design decisions."
